This ornament was ethically crafted from sustainably harvested wood by the Jacaranda Wood Carvers in Kenya. The jacaranda tree is an invasive species introduced a century ago by colonial settlers. Government initiatives are now in effect to replace jacarandas with indigenous species across Nairobi and its suburbs.
